ABOUT

Welcome to www.swiftsciences.org I hope you enjoy browsing this website and that you find the information contained on it useful. I would like to begin by telling you some about myself and share a short bit of my biography. My name is Shawn Richard Westerberg and I was born at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho. I was raised and grew up in a good Christian family and both of my parents were very hard working people. When my Father would come home from work at the freezer food cold storage plant where he worked I would sometimes untie his steel toed boots. When I was young I suffered severely with asthma until about age eleven and at age two I got pneumonia and ended up in the hospital and nearly died. My Grandparents on the Westerberg side of the family owned the Coast to Coast Hardware Store in Nampa, Idaho for 34 years and it was one of the biggest stores in town and my Grandparents were some of the wealthiest and most loved people in town and it seemed like my Grandfather knew everyone around. When I was young I used to spend the summers up at my Grandparents trailer in the Mountains near Donnelly, Idaho and the property is close to what is now Tamarack Resort. My other Grandparents the Stuarts were land owners in Nampa, Idaho and my Grandpa Stuart worked for the railroad. When I was a child my mother asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and I told her “A Scientist, an Artist, and an Actor.” And those childhood dreams continued to hold steadily throughout my life. I wasn’t the best student in school but I think I walked away with about a 3.1 GPA in High School even though I did not spend much time reading my books or studying in school. I played baseball when I was young but I was not a very good player because I usually choked in the games and I was an avid baseball card collector in my younger years and watched a lot of baseball and dreamed of becoming a professional baseball player and my favorite team growing up was the Chicago White Sox and I was a big fan of Frank Thomas. I did go to some professional baseball games growing up and got to shake hands with Ken Griffey Jr. at a game in Seattle and I believe that he was the All-Star MVP that year. During High School I seemed to make acquaintances with people from a lot of different social groups and I didn’t have one particular group really that I ran with but mostly would hang out with my High School sweetheart. During High School I struggled with a pretty severe case of acne and I had a lot of self esteem problems because of my acne. I did my Senior Project in High School with my English Teacher’s Husband who was a Deputy Sheriff and we went out shooting guns together and I was interested in becoming a Police Officer. After High School I enrolled in Boise State University and decided to major in Finance because the girl I was dating at the time who was a Latter-day Saint, her Father was an accountant and I decided that I wanted to become a CPA. I soon flunked out of Boise State University because at the time I was mostly interested in my girlfriend which has been the story for most of my life because my primary interest has pretty much always been females. Also I struggled with advanced mathematics at the time although I did excel at basic math. Eventually I went on to start selling Real Estate for RE/MAX and Realty Executives at age 19 and I also drove School Bus for a short time. I went to work for Waremart (now WinCo) on Freight Crew stocking shelves after that and then eventually ended working on Freight Crew for Albertsons Grocery Store. Around that time at age 20 I met my ex-wife again and she was a young lady that I had somewhat known from High School. We stayed married for close to 9 years and we built a beautiful brand new home together when I was 23. Our marriage was rocky and I was young, dumb, and inexperienced when I married her. While married to my ex-wife I attended Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murrieta, California with hopes of possibly becoming a Pastor. I got straight A’s at C.C.B.C. but I did not finish my degree because I eventually learned that in order to graduate that I would have to sign a statement of faith that I did not agree with. While married to my ex-wife I spent years working for Albertsons and became an assistant manager with the grocery chain. I went back to Boise State University at age 29 to major in Business because Albertsons had encouraged me to get my college degree and I got good grades when I returned to Boise State and retook my classes from when I originally dropped out. I have also had a big spiritual journey throughout my life and I have attended a lot of different churches and I am a baptized Latter-day Saint and also a confirmed Catholic and I have been baptized 5 times the last time I was baptized was about 3 years ago by Pastor Jordan Hodges at Christian Faith Center in Nampa, Idaho. After my divorce at age 30 I tried to join the United States Army and I took a test and they were going to place me in Signals Intelligence. At that time I also applied for the C.I.A. student program but I never heard back. Some events transpired and instead of joining the Army I took off to California again and began living in my car in Orange County because I love the beach. It was at that time that I got a job at Qwest Communications as a telephone representative in sales and I had a lump in my lower abdomen which the doctor told me was probably a hernia but could also possibly be cancer. It turned out being a Hernia probably due to my work at Albertsons and also my time spent in the gym lifting. I had to have my first surgery at this point at age 31. On my 32nd birthday I flew to L.A. with my friend Dustin to party and we met a man at the restaurant across from the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood and he told us to go to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and that they would let us into the VIP because of him. He said that his name was Frank and that he was a manager for Michael Jackson. When we went to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Paris Hilton and Benji Madden were exiting the Hotel and got into a black Cadillac Escalade and that’s when I fell in love with Paris Hilton. After I flew back to return to work at Qwest Communications I began reading the book “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho which has turned out to be my favorite book and one of the biggest influences upon my life. While reading the book that day at Qwest I began to realize that I was not living my dreams and that I had always dreamed of being a big time Actor. So immediately quit Qwest Communications and I loaded up my clothing into a big black bag and got back on a plane and with The Alchemist book in hand and flew back to Los Angeles. When I arrived in Los Angeles the Taxi driver asked me where I was going and I told him that I didn’t know and then eventually told him, “Take me to the Hollywood Roosevelt”. It was at that point that I moved into the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and began living there for a few months. About this time I met a gal from the Scientology Celebrity Center in Hollywood and she helped me get linked up with a management company for background actors. I began working as a background Actor in movies and television shows and I believe that I worked on about 8 movies and 30 T.V. shows during this time. During my time as a background Actor and living in Los Angles I did encounter a lot of famous celebrities and some of the celebrities that I came into contact with include: Courteney Cox, Molly Shannon, Justin Timberlake, Jessie Eisenberg, Gary Sinise, Chevy Chase, Ginnifer Goodwin, Melina Kanakaredes, Wentworth Miller, Suge Knight, Shemar Moore, Forest Whitaker, Drake Bell, Josh Peck, Henry Winkler, and others. Some of the movies and T.V. shows that I worked on include Angels & Demons, Inception, The Social Network, Big Love, Criminal Minds, Cougar Town & Community.
